\"Get in there!!!\" A cry of joy: simple, pure and spontaneous. The whole room turns around, slowly gathering around the Ultimate Poker table. Ace of clubs, King of clubs, Queen of clubs, Jack of clubs and 10 of clubs. A Royal Flush. \"How much is that?\" laughs the winner.<\/em><\/p>\n

Let's go back a minute. Bernard* is a loyal member of Club Pierre Charron. A regular in the old gaming circles, he loves banking games, especially Poker 21, but recently Ultimate Poker has become his new favorite game.<\/p>\n

He usually bets \u20ac40 per go. But tonight he's on a roll, and after winning several hands in a row \u2013 \"the dealer brings me luck\"<\/em> \u2013 he increases his bets to \u20ac60. Bernard puts down his chips and gets the Ace and Queen of clubs. He hesitates before betting, and decides to wait for the flop\u2026 Royal Straight Flush Draw as they say in the US, and he commits! The dealer lays out the cards, and you know the rest. There's no suspense, directly at the turn, the Jack of clubs means he hits the jackpot!<\/p>\n

The scene attracts the most curious patrons. Players unfamiliar with the game are asking about what just happened. The champagne arrives and so do the chips. \"I'm probably going to play Ultimate, because when I make a Straight Flush no one ever pays me,\"<\/em> joked a Texas Hold'em player at one of the cash-game tables.<\/p>\n

Our hero is already somewhere else and thinking about what he'll do with all that money. \"You think it only happens to other people, but today it happened to me. 500 times the stake, I still can't believe it! Don't wake me up!\"<\/em><\/p>\n

A few elbow checks later, Bernard went to enjoy the Club's lounges and celebrate with his friends who were there over a nice dinner in the restaurant area. \"Next time I'll break the bank at stud!\"<\/em> he promises us.<\/p>\n
